I look back over the years and at all the sounds that I have admired from the Electric Bass Guitar and unquestionably one of my favourite sounds is the one which comes from the Fender Precision I can recall Bassist Phil Lynott a student favourite amongst students. The former singer and main song writer for the great rock band Thin Lizzy using one and just loving the sound.

Another favourite Person who got a totally original sound from the Fender Precision Bass has to be the Stranglers Bass Player Jean Jacques (JJ) Burnel his sound is one of the most distinctive bass sounds ever heard all from the Fender Precision its not uncommon for students coming to ask Henry Thomas to teach them how to get his sound.

Another pioneer is Bruce Foxton Bass the Bassist from the sensational 3 piece rock band the Jam got an awesome sound back in the 70s and 80s and regrouping with the new Jam in 2010 he is still using a Fender Precision. Thomas recommends to students to buy the fender squire series Fender Precision its much cheaper than the original and it has roughly the same sound.

Much of the sound you get will depend upon your technique which you will develop slowly but surely as you attend and adapt the teaching methods which will be given to you at every lesson you take.
